Cauliflower and Peas
This quick Indian vegetarian dish provides the benefits of Cumin, a spice somewhat ignored by North American cooks, with those of Cauliflower and Green Peas. It astes good, too!
Cauliflower has been found effective in inhibiting tumor growth and preventing malignant tumors. These benefits come from two compounds sulforaphane and indole–3-carbinol or 13C.
Green Peas help fight cancer and protect the cardiovascular system. Peas are a good source of chrlorophyllin, which traps poential malignant materials and neutralizes them. The fiber in Green Peas has also been shown to be beneficial to cardiovascular health, especially in reducing triglyceride levels.
Cumin has long been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to improve cardiovascular function, and is held to be helpful in reducing blood pressure.
Cauliflower and Peas / फूलगोभी और मट
Indian
Ingredients:

Cauliflower
3 tablespoons Butter
1 teaspoon Cumin seeds, ground
1 teaspoon Salt
1 dash Cayenne Pepper
2 cups Cauliflower
1 cup Peas, fresh or frozen
Method:
Clean he Peas and Cauliflower and bread the Cauliflower into small florets. Set aside.

Cauliflower Florets
Heat the Butter in a saucepan and add the Cumin, Salt and Cayenne.
Then add the Cauliflower and Peas and stir together thoroughly.
Simmer, covered, 10 minutes and serve.
